Primark SS12 Campaign Lookbook
Looking at these latest campaign images, we find it hard to believe that they are courtesy of budget clothing retailer Primark.
Often shunned by many men, the brand’s spring/summer 2012 lookbook proves once again that its new range shouldn’t be neglected.
The campaign imagery showcases the current collection magnificently, confirming that the brand has got their finger on the pulse of the latest SS12 trends. Bold coloured chinos are extremely prominent, whilst numerous garments such as polos, t-shirts, vests, shorts and sweatshirts incorporate a wide array of prints – from Aztec/Navajo patterns to softer floral, Hawaiian inspired styles.
We are well aware that many of you will have already established your favourite brands/retailers to buy the majority of your clothing from; the familiarity of knowing which styles and sizes suit your frame is a huge benefit. However, when it comes to stocking up on the basics and keeping your wardrobe bang up to date with the latest fashion trends, Primark will provide all this for you at a fraction of the price. Invest wisely in your timeless capsule pieces, but then utilise fast fashion brands such as Primark to give your classic outfits the shot of life and variety they need each season.
The garments produced may not last you as long, and the quality will not be up to the same standards as premium brands on the market. But with t-shirts starting at just £2 and chinos costing £8, where’s the harm?

The Birmingham branch of Selfridges at the Bullring Shopping Centre has a small Primark section that is apparently one of the most popular in the store. They stock the most tasteful, on trend items and always attract attention. Buy cheap and wear to death.

Must admit Primark have got it right for S/S, I’d say they are on a par with Top Shop at the moment. I bought a slim fit denim shirt with brown cord elbow patches for (wait for it…) just £10 a fortnight ago. Their chino shorts & tees, graphic & nautical, are a bargain buy too – hey, they should give me commission for writing this, lol
What about the environmental harm? Buy a pair of premium chinos and they’ll last a decade, buy a Primark pair and they might just last the Summer before they’re off to landfill…
I buy my Primark off eBay. Why pay £10 when you can pay £3.99 and spare a garment from the landfill?
