Primark Summer Suiting
Many prominent high street retailers seem to be looking to promote bold suiting this coming season, with the help of dedicated summer suit lookbooks. First there was the Topman Summer Suit feature we previewed to you earlier this week, and now budget clothing retailer Primark has also recently launched a similar campaign.
Primark’s campaign imagery showcases a range which is perfect for the warmer months, providing customers with a variety of different styles and colour ways.
They have managed to cater to the everyday man’s tailoring needs, whilst also providing on trend options: their use of bold, vibrant colour ways are ideal for those who wish to make a statement, the softer pastel shades are perfect for those who want to rock the trend subtly and there are more traditional shades of beige for those who don’t want to steer away from tradition.
As well as featuring traditional tailored pieces such as blazers and trousers, Primark have again got their finger firmly on the pulse of this season’s key trends – offering customers matching tailored shorts that can be used to create the ‘short suit’. For tips on how to pull off the look successfully, check out Alex Woodhall’s dedicated article on the Short Suits Fashion Trend.
Whether worn together as classic formal wear or on their own as separates, this collection will have you looking effortlessly put together and on trend this season. With suit jackets costing around £28 and tailored trousers retailing at a ridiculous £12, these looks are highly affordable for all men.
The suit range is available in stores as well as at the Selfridges in store concessions.

I’m not so bothered about their suit jackets because that style isn’t really my thing, but it’ll be interesting to see how they look in person, as they could be a saviour for those on a tight budget. Their shorts could do with some slimming if you ask me – they look massive on anything but the beefiest thighs. The trousers will be a steal though if the fit is anything like their chinos, which has improved a lot over time. I hope those beige brogues come up in store too and don’t suffer from the extremely cheap look of much of their footwear range.
I love the colour of the top suit, that blue is outa sight man, BUT the jacket style is oh so No. If only it was a 3 button, or I could settle for a 2 button possibly , but one button is so No No !!! the button is nearly on the waist line !
