Neutral hues, straightforward cuts and playful prints make up the lookbook for Pull & Bear’s spring 2012 collection. In keeping with the brand’s continual deliverance of wearable fashion, the new range sees colour blocking at its most relaxed as well as a welcome touch of sportswear.
Easy styling and a backdrop of half constructed colourful flats provide the setting for the vibrant lookbook, shot by photographer Ignacio Lizano and featuring model Vincent LaCrocq. Within a series of shots that appear divided by varying colours and tints, a dog is used to playful effect and to support the collection’s boyish charm.
The emphasis here is on simple spring style that delivers no fuss layering and a few key separates that can be mixed and matched in numerous ways.
A tempting piece that provides perfect casual beach wear is the navy Jogger Short with contrasting trim. Worn with any shirt, sweat or tee and your favourite espadrilles, the warm-weather demands such clothing that is comfortable but finished with subtle style.
Other items to consider include the retro Americana inspired floral swim shorts and the salt and pepper sweater. Both of which add a little detail to this otherwise effortless laid back look.
Pull & Bear are known for producing clothes that are comfort driven and durable – the spring collection is no exception to this. However, do take note of the prints and colours that are on offer here. They have been cleverly incorporated in such a way that displays an awareness of seasonal trends but remains in keeping with wearable fashion for the masses.
