A recurring feature of men’s British fashion is the ever increasing number of graphic t-shirt labels – personally, I love the sheer diversity of the UK brands that exist in this flourishing department of menswear. They provide unique garments that can be worn in a variety of ways for different effects; with a closely cut blazer and chinos you have a smart eccentric look, whilst when paired with a loose fit draping cardigan and slim jeans you have a simple, comfortable street style.
Reality Dreams is a perfect example of how a successful fashion driven business can thrive through the creation of exclusive designs. The label seeks to provide quality clothing throughout their line, making each one a treasured and unique item of one’s wardrobe. Matt Doughty, marketing director, explains: “It’s not simply an everyday tee with a designer label sewn on.”
Matt’s business partner and designer of the range is Steven Stokes. He sees the brand as a successful example of starting with one small idea and working to develop it into something real and new – one could say turning a dream into reality (if you will excuse the cliché).
The collection itself consists of a range of graphic prints, logo garments and other unique designs – all of which are displayed on slim fitting tees, vests and cardigans, not to mention the rear mesh logo cap.
One stand out feature that really caught my eye was the individual logo. Its Leonardo De Vinci like design of an angel stamps the brand with a memorable and eye catching emblem, which is particularly prominent on the Signature Angels tee.
Other featured items include the “Kiss My Soul” and “Blackout” graphic tee’s as well as the simple slim fitting cardigans that would look great teamed with a logo tee or vest. Despite providing diversity within the designs of the collection, each item shares a certain level of quality expected in a men’s premium garment. The items are of a slim fit and hang nicely on the body, while the 100% cotton material quality is also excellent and has a smooth, soft feel on the skin.
The collection has been created to transcend from Day to Night (hence the Day&Night name), allowing you to wear one of the statement t-shirts within your day-to-day outfits, or dress it up for a night on the town.
To get your hands on these illusive garments, head to the premium men’s clothing store Elements of Lower Goat Lane, Norwich where the range has recently been released. If you haven’t got the time to visit in store, the collection is also available at the labels online store.
