Selfridges Destination Denim
“It’s time to find your perfect fit” at Selfridges with the launch of its ‘Destination Denim’ initiative – featuring over fifty brands and three weeks of events celebrating everything that we love about fashion’s favourite staple.
The three-week in-store itinerary sees a range of events for both men and women. The initiative kick starts with an exciting ‘Jean-a-thon’, which sees Selfridges.com giving away denim goodies on the hour, every hour, for twelve hours.
Yes, you’re forgiven for dribbling slightly with excitement.
This action-packed day will also see Selfridges’ twitter account (@Selfridges) taken over by industry and brand professionals offering expert denim styling advice.
The most exciting part of this three-week extravaganza come in the form of the customisation events, which includes:
- Dr Noki taking residence in Selfridges Oxford Street flagship on Friday 24th August, helping you to create your very own denim style.
- The weekend sees bespoke offerings from PRPS, “giving denim enthusiasts the opportunity to customise their own jeans in the sketchbook style of the PRPS founder Donwan Harrell.” Your very own creation can be personalised with signature prints, paints and embroidery details and taken home with you the very same day.
- Meanwhile, Denham are offering a unique distressing service, following the process of taking virgin denim through sanding blocks for your very own distressed, one of a kind design.
However, the key customisation event has to be from Levi’s – not only can you choose the detailing and finish, but also you’re in charge of specific alterations and bespoke fits.
It looks set to biggest celebration of denim ever, with special exclusives, designer appearances and endless styling advice. Selfridges.com also gets in on the action with a bespoke denim micro site – denim.Selfridges.com – offering styling tips, a calendar of in-store events and quirky denim facts and pictures.
Destination Denim runs in all four Selfridges stores and online at Selfridges.com until September 9th 2012.
