On a self-proclaimed mission to rid the world of ugly shoes; this is one mission statement I could actually quite believe.

I’ve heard of a shoegasm, yet have rarely had one. I like to think of myself as a virgin in that sense. But if ever there were such a thing then these guys would be writing the whole karma sutra on footwear. I did not find this brand on some quirky, London side street or see their name splattered across Lady GaGa digest. I happened across their website out of sheer luck and was not disappointed with what I found.

Still relatively unheard of – shockingly – Solestruck was founded in 2004. They collaborate with a number of unique brands, some of whom I am very familiar with and others I’ve never heard of. The bi-product is always a beautiful piece of footwear, which is so different that it is perhaps on the other side of cutting edge.

I can’t even choose one particular piece of footwear that I love the most – so I will leave you with the encouragement to discover this brand for yourself while I get back to stockpiling my wish list from their site.
