For those of you who are not familiar with Esther Porter, she is a British designer (and now brand) that produces handmade bags (all made in England) using artisan techniques of hand cutting, weaving and machining – processes that are uncommon nowadays within the industry.

Her latest collection, entitled TENT, is a premium range of menswear bags which have been created using reclaimed discarded tents from summer festivals!

The collection consists of various different bags styles including: holdalls, duffels, barrels and messenger/satchel silhouettes.

The range consists predominantly of tonal earth colour combinations, with the odd style benefiting from vibrant tones of on-trend blues and oranges.

One of our favourite pieces from the collection is the satchel style bag. The bag combines reclaimed tent fabric with traditionally milled heavy weight waxed cotton, features large front buckle detailing, a thick cotton adjustable webbing strap for comfort, leather trims, internal and external pockets, and all major stress points are reinforced with leather for extra strength and durability.

This innovative (and quite frankly genius) concept has produced a range of individual bags that are not only stylish but functional as well – being made from tent material ensures they are water resistant.

After this collection you will never be able to look at an every day object again!
