The Ampal Creative

Bored with the limited choice of headwear for the male market, the innovative pair behind The Ampal Creative, Andrew Potash and Daniel Schechter, unleashed their new and original designs to the market in 2007. Wanting to inject energy, fun and colour to the mundane styles available at the time, the duo blended quirky prints together with amazing quality and craftsmanship to create “distinguished headwear for gentlemen of leisure.”

Employing a team from their local area and utilising USA manufacturers – along with ensuring 100% involvement in each process, from the initial concept to the end result – guarantees excellent quality.

The vast selection of prints and illustrations developed for their hat collections certainly embodies the signature California aesthetic and creates an exciting vision for the future of the headwear market. Images of beach scenes, with palm trees and sea waves in bold, vibrant colours represent a chilled, relaxed L.A lifestyle.

From their autumn/winter collection, new designs feature tropical pin up ladies, navy rose prints complete with gold rope trim and three embroidered space eyes on a camouflage base. My personal favourite is the knitted fleece Aztec print in burnt orange and navy; seasonally appropriate and cosy for winter!

The majority of their styles consist of casual, stylish snap backs suitable for the L.A scene – however, checkerboard flap caps and wool fedoras are also available for the modern gentleman.

Add a touch of California living to your look this year with a unique piece of headwear full of character and individuality.
