The Twelfth Letter 2012 Collection
Creative cuts and innovative styling; The Twelfth Letter introduces a new collection to ASOS that has hit upcoming spring/summer 2012 trends with pin point precision.
The Aussie based company has created a hybrid of military and bondage inspired style, yet still manages to maintain a very sterile appearance. The clean cuts are dominated by loose, draping material. The beige trousers [shown below] are a personal favourite of mine; with the leather constraints bracing the leg juxtaposing the looseness of the drop crotch.
From a description or an initial first glance, the garments seem like they simply should not work. However, they do – and very successfully.
The snippet of video ASOS provides showcasing each garment feels like a moment I can only compare to when you’re in that last ten second countdown on eBay for the item you’ve been bidding on for the past nine days. Excitement, nervousness, bottom lip bitingly tense are just a few adjectives/grammatically incorrect phrases that spring to mind.
With prices starting at £57 for a sleeveless tee and climaxing at £230 for patent leather shorts, the pieces come at a premium – but boy are they worth it.
The full range is available now over at ASOS.
