Topman have launched a new collection continuing their focus on summer tailoring. Modern Prep takes a minimalistic approach, foregoing bright colour for texture and pattern in order to put together a range of smart, modern separates for summer. The designers at Topman provide an idiosyncratic take on preppy sensibilities that brings the collection right on trend.

The range takes a strong heritage inspiration; textured blazers with donkey jacket style shoulder patches give a practical, down to earth feel. Shorts, replacing trousers, keep the collection summery and prevent the heavy textures looking out of season.

The range uses a variety of patterns, taking inspiration from all over the world: Fair Isle, Aztec and geometric prints contribute to a lived in, eclectic vibe.
