Japanese menswear designer, Jun Takahashi, launches his latest UNDERCOVER collection for the fall/winter 2012 season.
The collection, appropriately named ‘Psycho Colour’, places a fresh twist on a number of classic staples – such as vests, jackets and pants. While the garments are packed with energy in bold colourways of yellow, navy and emerald green, Takahashi takes a more refined approach with his accessories. Hats, gloves and scarves in subtle shades of toffee and grey add the smart sophistication that the brand has become so well known for.
With texture and cut at the forefront of the label’s designs, each piece demonstrates a unique and interesting silhouette. A mix of tailoring and slouchy outerwear pieces work effortlessly alongside each other to add diversity to the collection.
Made up of numerous fabrics and utilising a range of patterns (from polka dots to stripes), this latest collection is somewhat different from what we would expect to see from the brand. By maintaining its contemporary class and eye for detail, whilst adding that extra edge of playfulness, Takahashi brings us a collection with a little something for every genre of gentleman.
Look out for the latest from UNDERCOVER at select retailers over the coming months. It will be well worth the wait.
