PVD, or Physical Vapour Deposition, is a technique whereby the stainless steel case is coated inside a vacuum to colour and protect. For watch-aficionados, this is the process of having metal ions accelerated, bombarding the watchcase. The mix of ions utilised is responsible for the overall colour achieved. The coating penetrates the steel casing to become embedded in the structure, leaving a non-corrosive, durable finish, which is rich in colour.
