At the end of last month, we were invited to preview the exclusive Very autumn/winter 2012 menswear collection at their press event. The online department store hit the scene back in 2009 – with the launch of Very.co.uk – and has since raised its profile by sponsoring well know programs such as the X-Factor and Gok’s Fashion Fix.
Founded in Liverpool, Very has leveraged its success by allowing you to shop big sportswear brands and designer labels like Levi’s, Superdry, G-Star, Fred Perry and Converse all in one place. Their edited menswear collection aims to bring you the very latest cutting edge styles, on-trend clothing and essential wardrobe staples each and every season.
The AW12 press event highlighted pieces from the upcoming Goodsouls collection, which is designed by TV presenter and model, Steve Jones. Steve is best known for presenting T4 and the American version of the X-Factor in 2011.
Inspired by his personal style, this range is designed for the fashion conscious on a budget. Adding a modern twist to classic pieces, the collection will allow you to achieve an everyday stylish look, without putting a dent in your wallet.
The AW12 preview highlighted a wide range of masculine yet fun pieces. We certainly rate the combination of soft tailored pieces and authentic looking trousers/footwear, which mastered a raw earthy colour palette of sooty browns and chalky reds. Returning to last year’s prominent quilted jackets and bow tie trends, their mannequins were styled with versatile pieces for autumn – effortlessly layering contrasting patterns and textures.

On the day of the press event the media had access to an app, designed by Very, which allowed the tech savvy to take photos and receive an email snapshot directly to their account. Check out some of our exclusive snaps below…
