With an alternative view on high fashion, Zadig & Voltaire present their spring/summer 2012 lookbook. The Parisian brand continue to grow in popularity, and pride themselves on their attention to detail and unique approach to style. This is clearly evident in their most recent collection. Photographed in a grand manor house setting, each shot represents individual looks that every man could find both accessible and wearable.
Rock and work wear influences combine to form an edgy luxe look that is delivered in a rather cool aesthetic. Using metallic hues as the chosen palette, the lookbook demonstrates a playful mix of contrasting separates. Tailored blazers are teamed with jogger shorts and work man boots to form an unconventional style that is somewhat pleasing to the eye. Washed denim and gold leather add to the contrasting nature of the collection.
A favoured item that fits perfectly with seasonal demands is the white blazer. Versatile in colour and simple in cut, this item can be paired with a range of bottoms to suit any occasion. Whilst in keeping with this year’s comeback of ‘white’, this item is also ideal for experimental layering with a range of prints and necklines.
An emphasis on mixed fits and contrasting styles proves this collection to be one of the more unusual on display for the current season. However, the look created is uniquely fresh and undoubtedly confirms the brand as one to watch.
