If you are a true FashionBeans fan, you will already know about the slight love affair we have with Spanish retailer Zara. Since the first release of their dedicated UK lookbook back in November 2011, we now eagerly await each and every instalment here at FashionBeans HQ.
But now we can all rejoice, because at long last the wait is over with the introduction of their ‘Man’ lookbook for March 2012. And after all the anticipation, we are pleased to inform you that once again they have not let us down – with a range of carefully considered looks that are easily wearable by the everyday male, at Zara’s affordable prices.
The well styled lookbook is exactly what we have come to expect from previous campaigns – a mix of both casual and smart-casual looks. However, for this particular shoot, it is evident that there has been much more of a focus place on smart-casual; with shirts, tailored trousers and blazers dominating the outfits and an increased emphasis on the importance of tailoring and fit.
One of our favourite looks is the soft beige waffle knit teamed with the navy blazer and stone coloured chinos. The soft shades, tactile influence, turned up chinos and smart brown leather brogues (complete with contrasting sole) give the look that preppy/ivy league feel that is so on trend and sought after at the moment. Not only that, but it is finished off in style with one of our favourite accessories – the lightweight scarf.
