Introduction

With winter upon us, layering and heavyweight fabrics will begin to take centre stage within many style-conscious gents’ outfits. This tactile, multi-dimensional approach to dressing has obvious practical benefits: it keeps you warm, protects you from the elements and allows you to adapt to the occasion and climate through the addition/removal of layers.

Functionality aside, mixing textures and utilising multiple pieces also allows you to create looks that are full of depth and character; ensuring individuality and helping you effortlessly stand out from the crowd.

With this in mind, we would like to introduce AllSaints’ winter 2013 menswear collection

AllSaints Menswear: Winter 2013

AllSaints’ new winter 2013 releases emphasise the importance of layering and premium fabrication. From high quality selvedge denim and British wool tailoring to beautiful shearling linings and hand-crafted leather boots, this is a range that oozes luxury and heritage in equal measure.

The texture-rich collection has been designed to fully embrace the season, helping you craft unique cold-weather looks that can transition from day to night and will cope with anything Mother Nature throws at you, in style:

Outerwear

With the temperature rapidly dropping, a good selection of outerwear is crucial. New releases within the AllSaints winter collection include a selection of versatile, cropped jackets produced in the highest quality materials, which have been sourced from across the globe.

Examples include the Kaimon Bomber (£258) in a Japanese coated cotton blend with British curly shearling collar; the Wyatt Bomber (£228), made from a cotton/linen blend from the Prato region of Italy; and the label’s signature buttery-soft lamb/cow skin leathers, with many undergoing additional distressing and oiling in order to give them a vintage, lived-in feel:

British Wool Collection

The highlight of the winter outerwear range has to be AllSaints’ collaboration with Mallalieus of Delph, an English textile maker who have celebrated their 150th anniversary by producing an exclusive British wool cloth for the brand.

Three limited edition pieces are available as part of the collaboration: the Alberta Coat (£355), a sharp overcoat that combines two key trends for AW13 via its double-breasted cut and muted Prince of Wales check patterning; the District Coat (£325), a single-breasted, slim-fit overcoat with a houndstooth body, contrast Prince of Wales check sleeves and under collar detailing; and the Seton Jacket (£328), which takes the iconic AllSaints leather biker silhouette and gives it a striking, contemporary overhaul in charcoal lambswool:

Tailoring

The start of December can only mean one thing: party season. This month, you are sure to have a plethora of events and occasions to celebrate, and in order to remain sharp throughout, you need to invest in some well-cut tailoring.

AllSaints have covered all the bases this year, from the Ardmore Tuxedo (£275), perfect for an edgy, modern take on black tie, through to unstructured Italian wool blazers that offer just the right balance of smart and casual – taking you from the office to after work drinks effortlessly.

As always, the brand have paid great attention to the finer details. Key design features include contrast under collars, picked stitching, working cuffs, real horn buttons and vintage linings. These oft-neglected touches give each piece a luxe feel and will help separate your look from the rest of the party-goers, ensuring you stand out for all the right reasons:

Denim

Denim, as always, is a key focus within the new collection. The brand’s now iconic ‘Iggy’ and ‘Cigarette’ jeans are some of the best fitting on the market (just check our forums for proof), and every man should have an indigo and black pair within their wardrobe.

This winter, AllSaints released two new styles that became instant must-owns. The Naniwa Jeans (£88) come in their ‘Cigarette’ cut (skinny fit, regular rise) and are produced in black premium denim. They have also been lightly washed and softly whiskered, meaning no two pairs are the same.

Additional detailing includes a classic button fly, embroidered Ramskull back pockets, matte black shanks/rivets and a hallmark AllSaints shank pin. Pair these black skinnies with a textured knit and one of the brand’s signature leather jackets at the weekend for an effortlessly cool look, or combine with a sharp shirt and the tailoring in the range to create a party season ensemble with an edge:

The Goma Jean (£88), on the other hand, is a classic mid-indigo wash that would slot seamlessly into any capsule wardrobe. Able to be dressed up or down with ease, they are available in both an ‘Iggy’ (slim fit, regular rise) or ‘Cigarette’ fit, meaning you can choose the cut that best suits your personal taste and preference.

The Goma has been heavily washed with baked 3D creasing and whiskering, again ensuring a unique finish. They come complete with AllSaints signature detailing – embroidered Ramskull back pockets, rusty shanks/rivets, gunmetal top button and shank pin – along with the all-important selvedge denim internal seam, which is instantly identifiable when you give the hems a couple of turns:

Boots

The British wintertime traditionally brings with it an onslaught of rain, snow and ice. In order for you to remain sure-footed, it’s important to switch your classic leather-soled shoes for something more substantial and practical. Boots have quickly become a modern wardrobe essential and this season, AllSaints offers a style for every scenario or personal style.

Rugged worker silhouettes such as the Blockade (£178) and Rutledge (£178) come in durable washed leather with a thick crepe or rubber tread sole for added traction, ensuring you’ll be prepared for even the harshest of conditions, whilst military-inspired styles such as the Marshal (£168) and Admiral (£178) feature exposed zip tapes and metal zippers for a rugged, masculine feel.

However, the highlight of the Winter 2013 footwear collection has to be the Cabot Boot (£325), a limited edition Goodyear welted design that which has been produced in partnership with Joseph Cheaney and Sons.

Taking the form of a classic Chelsea silhouette – THE key footwear style for 2013/14 – they are made from bespoke British leather and painstakingly hand-crafted by expert shoemakers in Cheaney’s factory in Northampton, which guarantees not only their quality but their longevity, too.

Available in black or brown and hand polished to a beautifully shined finish, they are fully leather lined and come complete with a branded sock and leather sole, as well as an individually branded shoe bag. Furthermore, each and every pair is hand numbered, which makes these one of the most sought-after examples on the current market:
