Established back in 2009, AMH clothing – aka designer Ashley Marc Hovelle – have unveiled their poolside inspired SS13 collection.
Offering retro cool garments that are classic in essence yet individual in character, the brand utilise unique patterns and finishes in order to set themselves apart.
Designer Ashley draws from childhood memories for the latest collection: “This season’s inspiration came from when I was four and a half year’s old rocking my paisley shirt in the 1980′s, this inspired my classic gentleman patterns and AMH repeat house classic signatures.”
The pieces combine clean, bold, graphic minimalism with subtle but intriguing details. In their few short years the label have become recognised for their use of signature repeat patterns and modern geometric prints – this signature touch is evident in many pieces of the new collection. Wardrobe staples such as shorts, tees and sweaters are given statement detailing like contrast pockets and rolled-up cuffs, and come in a limited palette of black, white and blues.
The collection also features a unique and completely original range of water-resistant garments called AMH20. Ideal for Britain’s unpredictable weather, the garments offer a new spin to traditional water-resistant clothing as they are constructed from cotton. With the use of state of the art technology, AMH20 items prevent the absorption of moisture from rain and other liquids, meaning you can wear your trusty tee well into autumn/winter.
Among the highlights are the navy repeat print jersey shorts, which offer a tailored fit and trouser style waistband. The shorts are part of the AMH20 line, so are water resistant to boot.
