Austin Reed x Nick Hart AW13
After the success of the first AR RED Nick Hart collection it was only right to expect an encore for the upcoming AW13 season.
Designed by world-renowned Savile Row tailor Nick Hart, this latest collection oozes a nonchalant attitude not normally associated with the heritage and classically quintessential British brand, Austin Reed. The combination is impressive; a kind of Rolling Stones meets royal attire that is just at home in the financial district as it is on a Soho/Shoreditch side street.
With mohair charcoal buggy lined blazers, slim silk grosgrain lapel blazers, contemporary fitting suits, a Prince of Wales grey notch jacket and charcoal shawl jacket, the range is both modern and stylish.
The inclusion of three affordable slim-fitting overcoats – in black, navy and check – ensure that the elements are catered for this coming autumn/winter, as well maintaining that desirable, refined silhouette one tends to lose with traditional, non-tailored outwear.
The casual collection, whilst possibly being more modish than traditional, includes fine gauge knitwear in oxblood, navy/grey and black merino wool as well as shirting in everything from twill stripes to flannel.
However, the FashionBeans collective were notably impressed with the two pea coat jackets. Available in oxblood or navy, their simplistic yet stylish crafting tops off what is set to be an extremely sought after collection.
In summary, the second AR RED x Nick Hart collection is targeted at the new generation of gentleman – the generation that like to add a little bit of cool as well as elegance to their suiting.
You will be able to shop the collection later this year at Austin Reed.
