Bay & Fyfe Scarves
Australian brand Bay & Fyfe’s limited edition scarf collection is now available in the UK. The brand is an emerging art-luxe concept label based in Sydney, and with the designs on show it is clear that art is very much the centre of its aesthetic. The label collaborates with artists across the globe to create unique and edgy pieces of wearable art that are a great way to incorporate colour into your wardrobe.
The brand is the brainchild of Frith Hucks, the former Head of Media for Adidas International, who wanted to work with inspiring artists in order to create limited edition collections that will be cherished by their owners.
The label’s founding artist is Australian musician-turned-artist Daimon Downey, whose art career has flourished since leaving ARIA winning (the Aussie Brit awards) band ‘Sneaky Sound System’. With many high profile clients and his first international exhibition opening in New York last year, Downey is an artist to watch.
This first unisex scarf collection is called ‘Off the Mantel’ and features a distinctive signature Downey print, available in three limited edition colourways. The scarves are made from very finely woven wool and have a slouchy and comfortable feel to them, ideal for everyday wear.
Each design is strictly limited edition, with only 200 available of each print. They measure 205cm long x 68cm wide and the three colour options are: teal/blue, purple/red and the stand out of cream/orange, which would be perfect for spring/summer.
Though small, this high quality collection is a great way to showcase the work of an innovative and growing artist and will add a shot of life to any ensemble this season.
