Born in one fashion capital and named for a popular borough of another, Brooklyn We Go Hard (BWGH) is the young Parisian fashion brand that’s been making waves since its conception in 2010.
Combining the timeless sensibilities of their motherland with the urban chic of their namesake, BWGH was founded by two friends who decided to finally follow their long time dream. The brand itself has certainly come a long way since its establishment, considering they are yet to officially celebrate their third birthday.
In recent years, a significant section of the Parisian fashion industry has shifted its focus from high-end couture to streetwear, with BWGH right at the forefront of the movement. Following the presentation of their spring/summer 2013 lookbook earlier in February, the infant brand has released the full collection.
The lookbook, shot on the Venetian island of Burano, evoked romantic imagery of travellers, explorers and gondoliers and was set against the regal stone architecture of the maritime town. The rich, earthy colours of the collection spoke of passion and adventure.
The current crop of mod-ish offerings from the French fashionistos continues along this theme, combining on trend patterns with warm, sybaritic colours and simple, elegant cuts.
Made from the highest quality materials cultivated from Japan and the UK, the collection features sophisticated lightweight knitwear, uncomplicated chinos and printed shirts, providing all the pieces needed for practically endless combinations of effortlessly cool summertime outfits.
The Brooklyn We Go Hard spring/summer 2013 collection is available online and from selected retailers now.
