BWGH Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection
French label Brooklyn We Go Hard, or BWGH for short, have taken inspiration from the highlands for their AW13 collection. Looking to Scotland as an influence for both design and lookbook construction, the label has produced a strikingly fresh display.
Photographers Vincent Desailly and Paul Arnaud shot model Barthélémy Surville against a range of backdrops, with each image highlighting separate features from within the designs.
Produced within an earthy palette of green, blue and stone, each piece boasts functionality and an appealing level of wearability and comfort – both of which are vital in the colder, harsher months.
Each look offers an instant wardrobe must-have whilst demonstrating an alternative eye for detail. Bold mountain themed prints and effective layering emphasise an urban approach to styling, which juxtaposes nicely against the rugged, country setting. Textured cable knits, marl effects and suede are prominent throughout the display, although nature definitely stamps its mark as the leading inspiration here.
Key pieces within the collection include the navy polka dot shirt and the sleeveless grey button-up knit. However, the chunky striped marl jumper with block-colouring has gone straight to the top of our wishlist. It’s effortless, versatile nature and oozing of warmth will allow it to seamlessly integrate within our winter wardrobe.
Overall, the effective combination of natural highland colouring with appealing designs will no doubt see BWGH remain popular throughout the autumn/winter season.
