British label Chatham has been a pioneer of marine-inspired clothing and footwear for over twenty years – and for SS13 the brand offer us their take on the classic deck shoe silhouette. Quality, durability, marine aesthetics and performance all form an integral part of the new collection, which features a range of high quality casual shoes that would look just as great on the marina as they would on your local high street. The shoes retail at a pocket friendly £55 and feature a minimal, unfussy silhouette. Constructed from vibrant super soft suede, stand out features include a rolled padded collar, rolled tread rubber sole unit, two eyelet lacing and thick white leather laces. A subtle design touch that we particularly liked was the contrast colour strip that is applied to the white sole. The colour of the strip picks out the main upper colour and shows an attention to detail that you don’t often find on comparable high street versions.
