CHUCS Dive & Mountain Shop
Chucs Dive & Mountain Shop has released several new pieces inspired the founder’s grandfather.
Roused by his heritage, film director and producer Charles Finch set up the store in London last year to provide luxurious, elegant and practical leisurewear.
Strongly dedicated to stylish travellers, Chucs, situated on Mayfair’s Dover Street, makes clear its intention to bring “movie business pedigree” and “luxury savvy” to leisurewear.
Old world glamour is nothing new to Finch, whose family tree includes Academy Award-winning father, Peter Finch.
Finch’s grandfather, George Finch, climbed Mount Everest in 1922. It was the first mountaineering expedition to exceed the 8,000m mark. The explorer would later become famous for inventing the classic puffer jacket.
True to his family’s legacy, the puffer jacket is a staple within current lines at Chucs. The shop’s super-light, 800 fill down outerwear acts as a tribute to the eldest of the three Finch men.
Jackets and vests feature practical add-ons such as pull cords to tighten fit, inside pockets, adjustable cuffs and a removable hood. The range of colours available includes navy, burnt orange and green.
The full line – comprising jackets, shirts, polos, t-shirts, knitwear, trousers, swimwear and technical sportswear – can be found at the Chucs flagship store, or stocked in Harrods. Alternatively, the collection is available to purchase online at Beach Tomato, Couture Lab, The Chapar, Quintessentially and MR PORTER.
