Converse All Star Rock Craftsmanship Collection
Footwear favourites Converse have released a limited edition Chuck Taylor All Star Rock Craftsmanship collection in time for AW13. The collection celebrates all things rock ‘n’ roll with distressed washes, studs, zips, leather and rips applied to the classic Chuck Taylor hi-top silhouette, helping inject an edge into your wardrobe. The collection comprises of three main styles, all updates on the classic Converse design. The Chuck Taylor All Star Double Zip features zippers on both sides of the shoe whilst a distressed wash, burnished midsole and frayed edges create a worn in, vintage feel. A double zip version in matte black leather is also available. There are three styles of studded shoes included within the range: one features pyramid studs arranged by size along the sides of the shoe; another confines spike studs to the back of the shoe, which look particularly striking in black canvas. However, FashionBeans‘ personal favourite features a premium black leather body with burnished copper-coloured studs applied to both the back of the shoe and along the side of the laces. It is a tonal and altogether more subtle way to add a rock edge to your outfits. To celebrate the collection Converse have taken over ‘The Circle’ tattoo parlour on Soho’s Noel Street for the whole of August. Converse at The Circle will offer sixty fans the opportunity to receive a free tattoo from internationally renowned artists, including Adrien Edek, Matt ‘Oddboy’ Barrett-Jones, Kamil Mocet and Fredrik Reinel. The venue will also host a series of rock gigs, with Pure Love on August 17th and Bring me the Horizon on the 22nd.
