Crew Launch The Fogle Swim Short
We are approaching that time of the year when the FashionBeans team starts dreaming about their summer holidays and considering what style of swimwear would best show off their finely-tuned beach bodies. However, this year Crew are helping us use our swimwear to draw attention to another great cause too.
Crew continue to work with Plastic Oceans – a charity that is committed to significantly reduce plastic pollution in the environment – with a generous £5 from each pair sold being donated. So next time you find yourself frolicking in the sea, you will be safe in the knowledge that you have contributed to the ocean’s well-being.
For SS13 Crew have released the ‘Fogle’ swim shorts. On first glance these printed shorts appear to be an update on the geometric styles that have become popular of late, but the print is actually a photographic one taken from a piece of work commissioned exclusively for use on the Fogle short. Steve McPherson’s artwork is an interesting collage of items he found on shore walks that washed up from the sea – not only raising awareness of the rubbish that is dumped in the ocean but also, by contrast, creating a beautifully printed pair of shorts.
The shorts were, quite aptly, launched with a boat race on the Thames, where Ben Fogle himself raced against some stiff completion and came a not so respectable last place. Over a champagne brunch FashionBeans scrutinised the shorts and can confirm they are definitely a contender for your summer suitcase, on design and quality alone.
So whilst you are enjoying the sea this summer, why not do your one good deed – and do it in style – with the Fogle shorts. They are available now from crewclothing.co.uk.
