D.Lo SS13 Sock Collection
Debuting for SS13, D.Lo offers a selection of colourful and fun socks that are all manufactured here in Britain. The collection features ten designs in a palette that is sure to add a striking pop of colour to any outfit. D.Lo socks are manufactured in Nottingham. With a factory history dating back to the 1940s, you are assured a high quality product that is held to the highest manufacturing standards. For example, patterns are not printed and instead stitched with a 180 double-pointed needle sock machine, with each coloured yarn individually loaded into the mechanism to transfer the original hand drawn designs. The material used is mercerised cotton for comfort and durability. Although bright colours dominate throughout, darker, more traditional designs are available and typically feature floral or geometric patterns set against a black base. However, bold tattoo-inspired prints/patterns are where the brand’s real strength lies – offering unique socks that cannot fail to get you noticed. One of the most striking and unusual styles in the collection is the fish scale pair. This style features mint coloured scales on a peach base and comes complete with a blue panel to the rear of the sock. Extremely quirky but, somehow, it works and the result is a bright and playful pair of socks that would be perfect for spring/summer. Other designs include multiple floral variations, along with geometric shapes and even insects. Each pair is completely original and unlike anything else we have seen on the market this year.
