Daniel Wellington Watches
Swedish label Daniel Wellington has finally released their collection of timeless, preppy timepieces in the UK. Previously only available on foreign import, the brand has now secured UK distributors, so no more international delivery charges. The watches stay true to the traditional Scandinavian design aesthetic of minimal but stylish design.
Offering a stripped-back, simple choice of a silver or rose gold face, the brand’s appeal and versatility stems from the range of watch straps on offer. Multi-coloured Nato straps can be effortlessly interchanged with classic leather versions, enabling you to alter the watch’s aesthetic to suit your mood or outfit.
The watch face is the epitome of minimalism. Slimline, round and featuring lines instead of traditional numbers, a discreet brand logo is the only other form of detailing you will find on the face.
The Nato strap’s origins lie with the British Navy, where divers would use the nylon straps over their wet suits to prevent rust.
Now the epitome of preppy style, Daniel Wellington’s Nato straps come in a variety of colour ways, including a classic navy, red, white and blue combination. These straps are interchangeable and additional straps can be purchased to instantly change to look and colour scheme of your watch:
If you are more of a traditionalist, leather strap options are available and come in classic brown and black colour ways. You are also given the choice of plain or textured leather, with the crocodile textured strap being a particular stand out:
