East Club London AW13
Combining classic British gentlemanly style with contemporary haute couture, East Club London’s colourful AW13 collection is a welcome step away from the traditionally muted palette we come to expect at this time of year.
Following in the footsteps of high-end labels such as Hackett, East Club have recently opened their first standalone store on London’s Kings Road (No.308 to be exact) in order to showcase their colourific collection to the fullest.
Created by one of 2013 GQ Latin America’s best dressed men, Juan Acevedo, the range is bristling with bold checks, bright hues and an exciting variety of pieces.
On the inspiration for the latest collection, Mr Acevedo quips that he “designs clothes that he wants to wear”. This simple, refreshing approach to men’s fashion is probably why everything East Club produces oozes individuality and character.
The store itself is quaint, but uncluttered. With sectional bright blue and white striped walls you get a sense you are walking into a playful party rather than a menswear store.
This vibe transcends itself onto the clothes themselves, with bright knitted bow/neck ties and bold knitwear in rapacious red, bright blue and yellow taking pride of place on the shop’s display units.
The back of the store houses a myriad of vibrant check scarves – one for every outfit choice, should you so desire. Made from wool sourced across Europe, they offer the perfect on trend, practical accent for your outfits this AW13.
With its light and airy construct housing rails containing slim fitting checked shirts, smart knitted cardigans and navy blazers, the collection simultaneously caters to both smart and casual dressers.
Following a stint in the pop-up circuit, we at FashionBeans hope the East Club London store is now here to stay – we cannot wait to see what the brand have up their sleeve for spring/summer 2014.
