Edwin Europe x Atelier Léger Tote Bag
This autumn/winter sees Japanese denim innovators Edwin Europe join forces with young French fashion brand Atelier Léger to create their own fresh take on the tote bag.
Based in the beautiful heart of Lyon, Léger’s bread and butter so far has been producing limited runs of hand-crafted bags and leather goods, whilst Edwin Europe have been creating pioneering denim concepts and washes since 1947. In fact, the brand are able to claim stone washing and new vintage as their own original, revolutionary inventions.
The collection was born out of the two brands’ pre-existing friendship and a mutual passion and commitment to simplicity, utilitarianism and resilient longevity. Combining these core qualities with a heightened sense of fun and excitement, this highly functional and practical bag allows for enough room to pack for a short trip or perhaps an adventure weekend away.
Created using Edwin’s groundbreaking 13.7oz Rainbow Listed Selvedge Denim, the tote bag comes unwashed in order to facilitate a beautiful, natural ageing process that will ensure is takes on characteristics unique to each and every individual.
The bag features exposed rainbow listing on the top hem with thick brown leather detailing (tanned in Léger’s native France) and is finished with a naturally coloured heavy chains stitch.
