Eleven Paris x Les (ART)ists Collaboration
French label Eleven Paris have collaborated with fellow countrymen Les (ART)ists on a collection of limited edition men’s t-shirts.
Les (ART)ists is a small company founded in Paris back in 2012 and has quickly become renowned for their American football-inspired aesthetic. The label produce everything from iPhone cases to varsity jackets in extremely limited numbers that instantly sell out, making them ultra collectible.
The brand’s most sought-after pieces are their football jerseys, which feature the names of personalities from the worlds of music, art and fashion on the back, as well as a number corresponding to each individual’s year of birth.
This Eleven Paris collaboration capitalises on the popularity of this highly desirable piece by producing a wide range of new styles in both monochrome and print designs.
The t-shirts are priced from £38 and pay homage to many instantly recognisable names, including Eleven Paris SS13 poster boy Lenny Kravitz, Notorious B.I.G., Wiz Khalifa and the president himself, Barack Obama.
The highlight of the collection is the patriotic all-over stars and stripes print Obama tee. A red, white and blue American flag is incorporated as a wrap-around design with the president’s name and birth year, 61, featured on the back. If you want something a bit more subdued, the Obama tee is also available in solid black and white options.
The Notorious B.I.G. design is another fun and colourful option, with the famous rapper’s face (rocking a gold crown) used as an all-over patterned print. The tee comes in a bright red colour way with BIGGIE across the back, however, with this tee the brand’s have used the rapper’s death year, 97, in place of his date of birth.
