French brand Eleven Paris celebrate their 10th anniversary with the launch of their new SS13 campaign, which features rock god Lenny Kravitz and up and coming model Charlotte Free. Shot by photographer Renaud Corlouër in the Miami sun, the campaign is a cosmopolitan blend of Latin, Creole and Afro-American influences and the striking imagery sees the two set against the backdrop of a decaying home, in an art deco inspired shoot.
To coincide with the campaign shots, the SS13 lookbook has also been released – previewing the garments in a variety of different settings away from Miami. The new collection offers staples like sweaters, blazers, shirts, shorts and chinos that are given a colourful twist through prints and patterns.
Each piece is understated and wearable, ideal for any modern capsule wardrobe. The more subtle garments help successfully neutralise the more colourful and patterned styles – with the bright aquamarine shirt and sky blue blazer combination modelled by Lenny being a prime example.
Highlights of the collection include the navy and grey varsity jacket, which references classic Americana collegiate style but with a French twist. On trend ethnic influences also make an appearance through the Aztec inspired t-shirts and heavily beaded men’s necklace.
Overall, the collection strikes the right balance between wearable and fashion forward, managing to seamlessly blend novelty, cultural diversity and retro influences.
Keep an eye out for the collection at retailers such as ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Fenwick, Cruise and independent boutiques across the UK.
