Folk X END Clothing

December 5th marks the launch of the most recent collaboration between London-based label Folk and renowned stockist End Clothing. The partnership sees the release of four limited edition garments – three sweatshirts and a tee – all of which feature one of two different print designs, unique to the collection. The patterns come in rough, brick-inspired designs, mimicking a quilt. Unlike much graphic-led clothing, the garments make use of the prints as a subtle detail to add individuality to the minimalist silhouettes. The covert detailing is typical of the Folk brand, which prides itself on producing understated, quality clothing. Cathal McAteer, a creative director who prides herself on the ability to combine top quality fabrics with innovative design, founded the label in 2001. The intention was to produce simple, yet highly detailed clothing. In addition to the slight pop of colour from the brick print, two of the collection’s sweatshirts also incorporate an embroidered chest design. The words ‘The End Is Now’ spelt backwards have been used to add a humorous tone to the limited range. In celebration of this new release, End are hosting a launch party at their Hunting Co. shop in Newcastle on Thursday December 5th. Revellers can browse and buy the limited edition range from 6pm to 9pm, as well as enjoy 20% off the Folk AW13 collection. Shop the range from December 5th at EndClothing.co.uk.
