Hentsch Man is a brand that effortlessly conveys true British style. Shamelessly cool – so much so that I’ve been forced to reconsider my aversion to what was once a classic fashion faux pas, the Hawaiian shirt – the brand’s new collection incorporates a plethora of current trends, from sports luxe to 1920s glamour.
Mixing the timeless wardrobe classics that they pride themselves on, such as chic tailored blazers, everyday denim jackets and the infallible Mac, with an array of slightly quirkier items, the brand cater perfectly to men that want to look classically stylish whilst remaining individual.
The true stand out pieces of the collection are those which embody simplicity with a twist, such as the dark grey wool and beige ‘Frank’ trousers. Sitting high on the waist and loosely tapered to the ankle, the trousers transport the modern man back to the elegance of true 1920s style – if you’re unsure, think James Stewart rather than Simon Cowell.
In contrast, the colourful anoraks bring the collection back up to date. In keeping with Hentsch Man’s hassle free approach to dressing, the jackets are trained to fit a variety of individual styles and be mixed and matched with different staple pieces, from equally bright chinos to pared-down denim.
This nod to casual wear seamlessly leads in to the variety of plain and striped crew sweaters, relaxed denim trousers and colourful espadrilles that are perfect for summer.
This collection also marks the brand’s first venture in to swimwear, and following on from a season obsessed with vibrant colours and prints, the collection of swim shorts range from navy gingham to block red to Hawaiian print.
