H&M Men’s Spring 2014 Lookbook
H&M is the latest brand to showcase a collection through a video lookbook. The high street retailer announced its spring men 2014 line earlier this month, taking to Twitter to post: “Guys, you don’t want to miss our exclusive #HMSS14 Lookbook video. Watch it right here!” A link directed the account’s followers to a YouTube video (viewable below) featuring model Sasha M’Baye, while Fanfarlo’s ‘Lens Life‘ played in the background. The lookbook focuses on transitional garments in solid colours. Lightweight outerwear takes centre stage, with M’Baye seen sporting various jackets, bombers and macs. H&M has gradually been introducing a wider variety of garments to its menswear line. For warmer weather, the three-minute video makes use of white button-down shirts, pleated dark coloured trousers, knee length shorts, cuffed chinos, clubmaster sunglasses and baseball caps. On trend patterns appear throughout the preview, with horizontal stripes, floral prints and colour-block camouflage combinations in white, black, and navy blue applied to a wide range of pieces. The mainline men’s lookbook follows the announcement of January’s H&M Sport launch and carries a later release date of March 6th, 2014.
