J Crew Stores
US fashion giant J Crew is set to open not just one, but three new stores in the UK before the year is up. The much talked about Regent Street flagship store is set to open its doors in London on November 1st but, for those who simply cannot wait that long, the news of two new stores launching in the coming weeks will surely help to quench their thirst.
The Chairman and CEO of J Crew, Mickey Drexler, has spoken of his love for the way London has unique fashion personalities, distinct to different districts, which is similar to the differing demographics in New York. The decision to open the new stores in these specific locations is one that he and Creative Director Jenna Lyons have thought carefully about.
The Lamb’s Conduit Street store will be the first to open, on October 10th, and will specialise in menswear, with a particular focus on watches and shirts. In addition, it will provide services such as monogramming, customised stitching and buttons. Customers will also have the opportunity to purchase suiting, made by the likes of Thomas Mason and London Undercover, and to have their favourite pieces customised. It will sit at 38 Lamb’s Conduit Street, in the heart of Bloomsbury, alongside Oliver Spencer, Folk and Simon Carter.
The other store is womenswear focussed and is set to open at around the same time as the main Regent Street flagship. This one will stock limited edition pieces from the upmarket J Crew collection line, and feature collaborations from the likes of Comme des Garcons and Penelope Chilvers. It will be located on Draycott Avenue.
This is fantastic news for those within reach of London but, for those who cannot quite get to the capital, their online site now offers international shipping (currently with free delivery and returns), meaning that you can still get your hands on the latest J Crew collection.
