Jardine AW13 Collection

Nathan Bogle may have left Rag & Bone back in 2006, but he has now launched a project which will see the designer’s creativity and innovation flourish in full. Jardine is the name of his new label, a brand which is putting the heritage trend to the back of the wardrobe to gather dust, and instead pushing forward with a more clean-cut, minimalist aesthetic. The collection is a ‘less is more’ iGeneration dream, full of luxe wools, leather, cotton and cashmere. Describing his new venture as “creatively liberating”, price point has been a big part of the drive behind the brand: “I started it because I couldn’t find the kind of product that I liked at the right price and style” confesses Bogle, adding that he is now “executing ideas that are purely mine”. All fabrics for the brand are sourced in Italy and then made in America, with inspiration coming from the fashionable city boys who stomp the streets of New York. The clean lines and lack of detailing or patterns allow for creative use of layering, and garments are able to be dressed up of down with ease. A modern timelessness hangs over the designs, meaning pieces are crafted to provide years of use, rather than being worn for just a single season. The sun may have set on his time at Rag & Bone, but Jardine is sure to mark a whole new creative direction for Bogle’s talent. You can shop the new collection over at JardineDesign.com now.
