Lacoste ‘Maisons Francaises’ 80th Anniversary Luxury Collection

In order to commemorate Lacoste’s 80th anniversary, nine of France’s most famous luxury fashion houses have been invited to design pieces that capture the timeless elegance and quality of the sports brand. The nine piece collection features a plethora of different items – ranging from fashion accessories to golf clubs and champagne trolleys – and goes on sale during the week of June 10-15th at Colette in Paris.

Famous French jewelry house Boucheron has crafted two exquisite crocodile brooches in emerald and diamond. The tiny stones on the brooches add a sense of glamour and luxury to the brand’s famous crocodile logo.

Pastry house Fauchon decided to pay its tribute through the exclusive creation of four new tasty designs for their exceptional chocolate √©clairs. The sweets are encrusted in Lacoste’s signature green, white and pink colours, in a variety of stripes and solids.

Goyard, known to be the oldest and most prestigious Parisian trunk maker, combined the house’s trademark chevron logo print with Lacoste’s green and white crocodile. The duffle bag features two hand straps, a shoulder strap and green details. The silver buckles and zippers together with the understated branding and the elegant colour combination make the travel bag a luxurious, timeless piece.

The other bag in the collection is courtesy of Hermes, a luxury brand that needs absolutely no introduction. The tennis racket case and messenger bag hybrid comes in olive green crocodile leather and features understated grey detailing. Hermes’ attention to quality makes this one of the sturdiest leather bags you can own whilst the choice of leather playfully nods at Lacoste’s trademark crocodile logo.

Premium champagne house Veuve Clicquot’s tribute is a champagne and golf club carrier hybrid, which combines the understated Lacoste white with the champagne’s signature golden colour. The tan leather piping on the case is a testament to the attention to detail in the collaboration whilst the wheels on the design work to create a connection to the French brand’s original golfing heritage.

S.T. Dupont’s offering is a magnificent gift case containing two chrome-plated pens, a lighter, two tea candles and a notebook. The items are set against a dark green grass-like background that pays homage both to Lacoste’s signature colours and the brand’s golfing history.

Manufacturer of fine silverware and home accessories Christofle have designed an incredibly luxurious silver golf club with religious attention to craft, detail and quality. The grey matte gripping part of the golf club gives it a modern flair whilst retaining the instrument’s full functionality.

Baccarat, the luxury crystal glassware designer, has turned its attention away from the traditional crystal chandelier design to create a unique emerald and translucent glass trophy bowl, adorned with the classic crocodile logo. The bowl is inspired by tennis and golf heritage and trophies, so closely associated with Lacoste’s aesthetics.

Home accessories and porcelain jewelry designer Bernardaud has paid homage to Lacoste’s ever-growing collection of polo shirts with a collection of twenty-seven golf tees. The inspiration behind the colourful swatches comes directly from the traditional coloured polos of the sports brand.

The exclusive collection will go on sale at colette from June 10th, and prices are not yet available.
