With a string of stars under its belt such as James Long and JW Anderson, the Topman x Fashion East joint initiative ‘MAN’ showcased its AW13 collection at London Collections: MEN this week. Its three chosen designers this season were Agi & Sam, Astrid Anderson and Craig Green.
The bold and bright duo displayed their renowned eye for colour and print in a vibrant showcase. With a formal approach remaining present throughout, the duo focused on quirky prints and alternative layering to complete their looks.
Exaggerated lapels and all-over detailing also aided in producing a stand out collection:
Pushing the current sportswear trend into 2013, Anderson produced an original series of luxe looks that boasted intelligent oversizing and a mix of fabrics.
Appearing to have taken influence from American sportswear, stretched jerseys, loose sweats and sporty bomber jackets were at the forefront of each look. However, work wear inspired pieces made a welcome appearance in the form of dark indigo denim shirts and overalls:
With a refined palette of black and white, Green produced a dark and directional collection that appeared both artistic and hugely creative.
Focusing heavily on detailing and layering, Green mixed fabrics and finishes to create an interesting visual. This, combined with covered faces, ultimately lifted the entire collection and resulted in an alluring display of talent and skill:
With high street giant Topman working alongside them, these three designers will have their creative talents showcased to the masses next autumn – and we can’t wait to get our hands on some of the pieces.
