MR PORTER Grooming
Since launching in 2011, MR PORTER has become the go-to place for luxury menswear, with the premium retailer offering an array of high end brands from Givenchy to Lanvin. However, this week MR PORTER.com announced that they will now begin to stock a curated collection of eight men’s grooming brands.
Selecting the bathroom essential every man needs to ensure he looks his very best, the range encompasses the leading skin, body and hair care brands from around the world. The grooming products are available as individual items or as gift sets (which have gone straight to the top of our Christmas wishlist).
The eight brands initially being stocked are are Aesop, Baxter of California, Czech & Speake, D.R. Harris, Le Labo, Malin + Goetz, Perricone MD and Santa Maria Novella.
Aesop is a particular highlight, with the Australian label offering stylish packaging and high quality products. The brand specialises in face and body care, with hero lines including their Mandarin Facial Hydrating Cream and Morrocan Neroli Post Shaving Lotion. You won’t find any artificial ingredients within their range, as the brand instead opt for plant-based ingredients and fragrances that are designed to work in total harmony with your skin. Price point varies from £23 for a hair balm to £83 for the body cleanser and balm set.
Le Labo is a New York based brand specialising in fragrances. Products on offer include perfumes, body oils and body lotions – all infused with a rich and masculine scent – priced from £32.
British label Czech & Speake are based on London’s fashionable Jermyn Street and specialise in traditionally designed and crafted bathroom accessories. Their products are high quality creations that are designed to last, although this does come at a cost.
At the higher end of the spectrum there is a beautifully leather bound manicure set for £336 that should go some way in making sure your nails always look in top condition, whilst those looking for a little bit of affordable luxury should be drawn the Number 88 soap, priced at £21. The soap is designed to lather effortlessly with your chosen shaving brush in order to soften your beard and provide a closer, smoother shave. Number 88 is the label’s signature scent that features fresh, woody top notes to ensure you feel invigorated after use.
The introduction of grooming to MR PORTER cements the retailer’s position as a premium men’s lifestyle website. The brands chosen are diverse, high quality and epitomise exactly what MR PORTER is all about: luxury.
