Nike LunarGlide +5 trainer
Nike has released another shoe for the fashion-conscious runner that fuses tech with design.
The LunarGlide +5 is lighter than its predecessor and features updated Flywire technology and springy cushioning designed for optimum performance. Though intended as a running shoe, the sleek design aesthetic and comfortable fit ensures allows this silhouette to transcend from the running track to your casual wardrobe. Don’t let all the high tech jargon put you off – these shoes are very much fashion-led.
The upper part of the shoe is made from a single-layer, engineered mesh, which is extremely lightweight and offers excellent ventilation – all the while providing support to your feet during particularly long runs. This mesh gives the shoes an almost net/lace finish that results in a great textured look and feel.
At the core of the shoe’s design is Nike’s latest Flywire technology, which securely encases the mid-foot and arch, before weaving through the lace loops to ensure pressure is reduced on the top ridge of the foot.
LunarLite foam in the midsole provides exceptional cushioning; the soft yet resilient foam core, encased within a supportive foam carrier, ensures maximum comfort without adding unnecessary weight, giving runners an ultra-comfortable ride, whatever the distance.
The shoe is available in a range of colour ways, with the FashionBeans team’s favourite being the on trend blue version with orange accents. If the colours on offer don’t take your fancy then you can build and customise your own at NikeID.com.
The shoe is available now at Nike stores and online at Nike.com.
