British designer Oliver Spencer has collaborated with Italian footwear label Superga to create a capsule collection of colourful, seasonally appropriate lace-up shoes. The collection fuses Spencer’s modern aesthetic with Superga’s classic chunky-soled styles. On the partnership Spencer said: “The concept behind the collaboration is to be something that is very clean with a feeling of luxury. I wanted to show the brand’s versatility though modern day inspirations. The shoes represent a bridge between sport and luxury.” The pairing represents the first time Superga has collaborated with a menswear designer; last year the label teamed up with womenswear designer Henry Holland for a similar collection. The range sees new finishes and prints applied to the signature Superga 2750 silhouette, which has been going strong for close to 100 years.
