Pretty Green 2013 Festival Jacket
Combining design and technology, Liam Gallagher’s Pretty Green label have released a lightweight, packable parka just in time for festival season.
The ‘Festival’ collection was first launched in spring/summer 2012 and featured a range of clothes designed to keep you dry and looking sharp, even after three days of camping in an over-crowded (and most likely flooded) field. The collection was officially called the ‘PG-72 Series’ – debuted by Liam at the Papillons de Nuit Festival in France back in 2011.
The capped hooded jacket is available in three colour options: orange, black and green. Featuring a blouson silhouette with multiple zipped and Velcro pockets for storage, it comes complete with discreet Pretty Green branding to the zipper and left chest. Though all three options are strong, our favourite here at FashionBeans, particularly for a festival, is green. Incorporating elements of both camo and colour-blocking, it references a couple of the major menswear trends for SS13.
Designed with festivals in mind, the jacket is constructed from ripstop nylon, making it an ultra lightweight and versatile garment. The jacket can also be folded neatly into its own bag and clipped to your belt – a lifesaver when you’re trying to remember where you’ve pitched your tent in a British downpour! Fold it, bag it, clip it.
Overall, Pretty Green’s festival jacket is functional and stylish, and though designed specifically for those partaking in festival experience, it can still be worn long after your three days of drink, music and limited toilet facilities are over.
