Ralph Lauren have released a limited edition collection of safari-inspired eyewear for spring/summer 2013. The collection features plastic and metal frames with vintage gunmetal finishes, leather and canvas accents, and stunning safari colours – including gold, khaki and camouflage designs. Each frame is expertly crafted using state of the art techniques and comes beautifully presented in an elegant leather and green canvas packaging. PH 3081Q Sunglasses
The PH 3081Q sunglasses have round lenses with a double bridge and feature subtle yet eye-catching detailing that includes a vintage distressed effect on the metal front and leather temples. To emphasise a vintage aesthetic, this model’s metal components undergo special distressed galvanic processes. The frames are available in dark, vintage-effect gunmetal with smooth cuoio leather, vintage-effect brass front with dark brown leather temples or matte olive green front and green leather temples. PH 4080 Sunglasses
The PH 4080 sunglasses offer a retro alternative and feature a square lens shape; plastic frames featuring metal integrated hinges with a triple articulation; functional rivets affixed to the acetate front; and the Ralph Lauren logo on each temple. The strongest colour way has to be the on trend camouflage version. The dark green khaki camo print is distinct and masculine but retains a sense of refinement – emphasised by the dark vintage-effect gunmetal brow bar and grey lenses:
PH 2107 Optical Frames
Optical frames complete the collection, with a particular highlight being the PH 2107 model. These have square vintage-feel lenses with a keyhole bride design. The frames are classic and timeless but Ralph Lauren have added contemporary touches, including matte camouflage and leopard print accents. However, solid black is available for those that prefer more traditional, sophisticated styling:
