Realm & Empire AW13 Collection
Last year saw Great Britain itself become the latest must-have fashion accessory, after a summer that included a spectacular London Olympics, phenomenal London Paralympics and even a royal Jubilee.
One company that refuses to see patriotism as a seasonal trend are Realm & Empire, whose designers reference triumphant cultural points from throughout Britain’s rich history in order to create timeless yet thoroughly innovative menswear collections.
Although nostalgic by design, Realm & Empire’s pieces are assuredly contemporary and definitely favour style over stuffiness.
For their autumn/winter 2013 collection, the brand look towards our illustrious seafaring background, with naval influences reigning supreme.
Outerwear is the clear highlight of the range, with a sharp pea coat and a naval parka being particular stand outs, whilst a commando hat helps turn these autumnal jackets into cold survival uniforms as we progress into the true winter months.
Also making an appearance are a variety of sweats and soft 100% cotton signature tees with a vintage-style stonewashed finish. Given that Realm & Empire began its fresh, young life just three seasons ago selling graphic t-shirts and sweats exclusively, before expanding their offering to include knitwear, outerwear, shirts and trousers, these pieces are of the highest quality and among the real high points of the collection. Among the prints featured on the t-shirts is a celebration of the 617 Dambusters Squadron, in honour of their 70th anniversary.
The Realm & Empire AW13 Collection will be available in the coming months. Keep up to date at realmandempire.com.
