River Island’s New London Flagship
British high street retailer River Island have opened a brand new flagship store in Park House, London – located at the Marble Arch end of shopping Mecca Oxford Street. The new store will join the likes of Zara, Bershka and Urban Outfitters in the vast glass complex. On the opening the brand said… “River Island is very excited about the new store in Park House, London. The store will serve to epitomise the brand’s design ethos and provide a modern and forward thinking environment in which to shop. The store design uses an eclectic combination of retro and contemporary materials which are reflective of our stores across the country. We look forward to opening and hope our customers will enjoy the shopping experience” The store is truly huge; spread over three floors and 19,968 square feet of retail space, it will stock their menswear, womenswear and kid’s ranges. Whilst most high street fashion stores often sacrifice their menswear offering to make room for an extended womenswear range, this is not the case here. The large space means that almost all of their current menswear collection and latest additions are available, delivering a product range that is comparable with the retailer’s online offering. The store has a loft feel due to its open plan design, whilst exposed shafts and piping give it a cool and contemporary vibe that perfectly reflects the label’s own clothing collections. The menswear floor has dedicated denim, footwear, casual and suiting areas clearly sectioned off, and there are plenty of funky sofas and chair to take a rest it you’re having a particularly tiring shopping day. The opening of the new flagship cements River Island’s reputation as one of the leading names on the UK high street.
