Royal Spades Denim
Finding the perfect fitting jeans is always a chore, especially with the endless choice available both designer and high street. With that in mind, Royal Spades have released a denim collection crafted with comfort and fit in mind. The London-based denim brand have created a small collection, and what it lacks in variation is more than made up for in cut and design – with the brand only using the highest quality organic cotton in their manufacturing. Sisters Anushée and Ayla Hashwani created the brand in 2012. With a family background in the textiles industry, they applied this knowledge to their design work. The collection stays away from the sometimes garish washes and embellishments we have come to see on the high street, instead offering a selection of timeless indigo and black denim in simple skinny and wide legged cuts. Designs include the ‘Hakkan’, ‘Napoleon’ and ‘Ninety Nines’. The ‘Hakkan’ is available in blue and black and comes in a flattering skinny fit to help create that sought after slim-line silhouette. If you don’t like skinny cuts then there is the ‘Ninety Nines’ model, which comes in a light blue wash and a straight legged fit. This pair would be great for those with a larger build or thighs, offering a more flattering fit that is still smart and refined. However, our favourite style here in the FashionBeans office is the ‘Napoleon’ in indigo. Understated and comfortable, they come in a slim fitting cut and are versatile enough to be worn casually during the day or smartened up for the evening.
