Japanese clothing brand SOPHNET. have this week unveiled the lookbook for their upcoming spring/summer 2013 clothing collection.
Formed in 1998 by fashion designer Hirofumi Kiyonaga, SOPHNET. (SOPH. to its fans) has built a reputation for itself as a creator of high end, minimalist pieces, which are inspired by a fusion of traditional Japanese and American sartorial influences and constructed from the latest high tech materials.
Comprised of clear, full colour displays the new SOPHNET. lookbook features vibrant photography interspersed with on trend skate-influenced imagery. This focus is seemingly designed to position SOPH. as an up and coming youth favourite.
Some of the key pieces featured within the lookbook include rolled denim shorts, acid-washed work shirts, collarless leather jackets, deep indigo suit jackets (with matching short trousers), two-tone red/black low top canvas shoes, floral patterned shirts and blue graduated gilets.
Apparently with our current climate in mind, the SOPHNET. spring/summer collection also features a range of durable, rugged outwear that is sure to help anyone keep their steely composure during even the harshest of British summers.
Accompanied by a painfully cool video montage, the release of the lookbook comes hot on the heels of the brand’s collaboration with Carhartt WIP – which celebrated the launch of Carhartt’s new Paris le Marais store and SOPHNET.’s SS12 bags & accessories collection.
The items advertised within the new SOPHNET. SS13 lookbook are expected to be made available by selected stockists in the coming months.
