Suitsupply has recently released a lookbook and a selection of available to pre-order pieces from its upcoming autumn/winter range. The collection is texture heavy, with thick woollen suiting and outerwear helping create a luxurious, refined look that is supplemented with some deliberately archaic pieces. The tailoring offers modern fits that hark back to the past. Heavyweight wools are the go-to fabric within the range and bold patterns such as windowpane checks and pinstripes further emphasise the tactile element and create an antiquated, dandy-esque look. Complementing this approach is the use of the consciously old-fashioned and formal double-breasted waistcoat, an unusual piece that lends the collection a unique appearance. The use of suiting separates brings classic pieces bang up to date, with cottons breaking up the heavy textures and providing a contrast to the wools.
