Taylor Morris Eyewear AW13
Made in Chelsea cast member Hugo Taylor has teamed up with long-time friend Charlie Morris to create Taylor Morris, a unisex eyewear brand offering stylish and sleek sunglasses in classic silhouettes.
The duo has always had a passion for quality sunglasses, owning countless labels over the years, and it was this mutual appreciation for eyewear and luxury that led them to create the brand. One evening over drinks the two roughly sketched down some initial design ideas, and so was the birth of the label which has now been picked up by Harvey Nichols as their exclusive stockist.
The collection contains six distinctive styles, which are available in eleven different colour ways. Each pair is presented in a luxurious branded leather case and features a laser engraved motif and the signature Taylor Morris trinity gold emblem.
FashionBeans‘ favourites include the Saratoga, a classic wayfarer frame in tortoiseshell. The glasses have been updated with slightly softer curves and a thinner, more elegant temple to improve the profile. The design is simple and sleek, with the aforementioned tweaks giving a timeless silhouette a contemporary feel.
The Louis Orson is another stand out style. Deriving its moniker from the middle names of the designers, these frames are again classic with a timeless, elegant appeal. The style comes in a caramel horn colour way and features curved mineral blue lenses.
Overall, Taylor Morris has crafted a luxurious debut collection of sunglasses with a design to suit every face shape – if you need help identifying the correct style for you, make sure you read our guide here.
The collection is priced from £125 and available at Harvey Nichols or online at taylormorriseyewear.com.
