Urban Outfitters x Farah Vintage
Urban Outfitters and Farah are set to team up on a capsule collection due to be released in spring 2013. Keeping in mind the time of year, the pieces available will boast a variety of colours and prints, with a total of eight different items to choose from. The range will go on sale on Urban Outfitters’ website in intervals. Said to have a “Tokyo influence”, the collection is comprised of “Hobart swim shorts, Dayton waxed jacket, Stanton twill shorts, Arnold t-shirt and Terrence hook print trousers”. The pantone colour palette being explored will heavily feature royal blue and buttercup yellow, offset against dark indigo. Urban Outfitters already stock a wide range of Farah clothing, so the design aesthetic of this collaboration should provide a strong style equilibrium between the two brands. As a little taster of what is to come, the images below show the ‘Dayton Waxed Jacket’ from the new Urban Outfitters x Farah Vintage collection, which is the only piece available to buy online as yet. Coming in an electric blue or crimson red, the jacket is durable and has two waist pockets with a zip-up front and zip pocket on the reverse. Priced at £105, this is extremely reasonable given how versatile the piece is and how long it should last.
